DriDanube National Drought Seminar – 2019
|
The Hungarian Meteorological Service organized a National Drought Seminar which was held on 15 April 2019 in Budapest.
The seminar was the concluding point of a very active cooperation with national stakeholders within the project DriDanube (Drought Risk in the Danube Region), funded by the Danube Transnational Programme. It was part of the series of the National Drought Seminars organized in all 10 partnering countries after 2 years of project implementation. Its aim was to exchange opinions, feedback and suggestions for improvements on DriDanube outputs, which are in their final stage of development. There was a special focus on how partners and stakeholders can support together the integration of the results into their daily operational work and how to assure the sustainability of a 2,5-year effort. The National Drought Seminar was attended by 32 representatives from various sectors: water management, agriculture. Some participants came from government, authorities, universities, and non-profit organizations.
